The Art of Beauty, through makeup.
Makeup artistry was where my creative career began.
For more than 17 years, I have worked with women through weddings, events, photoshoots and some of the most significant moments of their lives, using makeup not to transform them into someone else, but to bring forward the beauty that is already there.
My style is refined, feminine and skin-focused. I love beautiful skin, thoughtful colour, soft definition and makeup that feels polished in person while translating effortlessly through the camera.
But just as importantly, I care about how the experience feels.
Especially on a wedding morning.
I have always believed that being a great makeup artist is about much more than creating beautiful makeup. It is about reading the room, understanding people, remaining calm under pressure and giving someone the confidence to sit back and know that they are being taken care of.
That philosophy has shaped A MUA — Antoinette Makeup Artist — throughout my career and remains at the heart of the beauty work I offer today through Antoinette Eileen.
My Career in Beauty
My career began with formal training in Beauty Therapy and Makeup, giving me a foundation not only in artistry, but in skin, products and the way makeup behaves.
Beauty quickly became much more than a job.
In my early twenties I founded my own makeup company and began exploring the professional beauty industry far beyond the makeup chair.
At a time when many of the international professional brands we now take for granted were difficult to access in Australia, I sourced and imported professional beauty products for Australian makeup artists.
My own makeup range also took me internationally, including working alongside a makeup school in Germany and helping curate professional kits for their students.
Over the years I have continued investing in education and refining my craft, including training with internationally recognised celebrity makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic, Makeup by Mario.
I have worked across bridal, events, commercial and photographic makeup, while also teaching makeup through private lessons, group education and professional artist training.
More than seventeen years later, I still genuinely love what happens when someone looks in the mirror and you see that little change in their expression.
That moment of:

That will probably always be my favourite part.

Every bridal booking is approached with attention to both artistry and experience, creating beautiful, long-wearing makeup while bringing a calm, experienced presence to your wedding morning.
Each bride receives the option of false lashes and a luxury bridal touch up kit, all included as the standard to the Antoinette Eileen Bridal experience.
Antoinette only ever takes on one wedding per day, so once you secure a date as a bride, that date becomes exclusivly yours!

Your finished look is considered as a whole, makeup, hair, dress, setting and photography working together rather than as separate elements.

For brides choosing to marry away from home, having an experienced artist travelling with you can bring an enormous sense of ease to the wedding morning.
Whether your wedding is unfolding somewhere along the Australian coastline, interstate or on the other side of the world, I can travel with you to provide the same calm, considered bridal experience wherever you choose to celebrate.
How do destination wedding's work? For transparency Antoinette will charge her standard makeup / Makeup & Hair rates, plus travel to the airport & airport parking.
The extra cost involved? The client then has the option of booking & selecting the flights and accommodation. This allows the client to choose the best rate available to them and peace of mind when making flight selections to ensure Antoinette is there when you need her.

Rather than simply completing makeup and leaving, half-day and full-day bookings allow me to remain on set for touch-ups, changes, continuity and adjustments as lighting, wardrobe and creative direction evolve throughout the shoot.

Before Antoinette Eileen became a world of photography, creative direction, spaces and visual storytelling, there was makeup.
It taught me to notice subtle things.
Colour.
Balance.
Texture.
Light.
The difference one small adjustment can make to an entire composition.
And perhaps most importantly, it taught me something I still carry through every part of my work today:
