Gold Coast Bridal Hair & Makeup FAQs by Antoinette Eileen
Planning a wedding or elopement on the Gold Coast, in Byron Bay or across Northern NSW? Find answers about travel, exclusive wedding dates, bridal-party timing, hair and makeup services and destination elopement packages.
Which areas do you service for wedding hair and makeup?
I am based on the Gold Coast and travel throughout Byron Bay and Northern NSW at no additional travel cost. Travel outside these areas, including interstate and international destination weddings, is quoted individually based on the location and travel requirements.
Do you book more than one wedding on the same day?
No. My brides are my VIPs, so your wedding date is reserved exclusively for you. The minimum required to secure a date is a bridal hair and makeup booking. Once the date is secured, you can add services for bridesmaids, family members and other members of your bridal party.
Do you work alone, and what happens with a large bridal party?
For bridal parties of four or more people booking both hair and makeup, I bring a second professional stylist. This keeps your wedding morning relaxed, organised and running on schedule.
What time should I choose when booking my wedding online?
When booking online, simply select your wedding date, you do not need to know the exact appointment time yet. Once your deposit has secured the date, we can finalise the timing around your ceremony, photography and wedding-day schedule. Please note this does not apply to bookings outside of weddings, such as bridal previews, event makeup etc, for these non wedding day services, only the time you reserve is allocated to you.
Can I book both bridal hair and makeup?
Yes. You can book makeup only or combine bridal hair and makeup for a cohesive, polished result. Hair services are currently available when booked alongside makeup rather than as a standalone service.
Do you offer elopement packages with hair, makeup and photography?
Yes. One-vendor elopement packages combining hair, makeup and photography are available for local and destination weddings. Visit the Wedding and Elopement Packages page to explore the available options.
How far in advance should I book my wedding hair and makeup?
As soon as your wedding date is confirmed. Wedding bookings are accepted up to two years in advance, so it is never too early to enquire.
Do you collaborate with other wedding vendors?
Yes. I love collaborating with other wedding professionals and can recommend trusted vendor friends to help bring your wedding plans together.
Do you offer bridal hair and makeup trials?
Yes! You can check my availability for bridal previews online here. They are not required, but if you are a details bride who wants to know exactly how everything will look, down to your perfect shade of lip, then this is for you. Also, if you have a large bridal party and tight timeline the morning of the wedding bridal previews are strongly recommended as they cut down on the detailed conversations we have around perfecting your dream bridal look.
How do I secure my wedding date?
Once a deposit is paid the date becomes exclusively yours and I take no other bookings for that date. For complete transparency, multiple enquires may be made for a single date, but it is not reserved by enquiring for any length of time, it is only secure once the deposit has been received.
What is included in bridal makeup?
Bridal makeup includes a detailed consultation before creating your dream look. It includes skin preparation, the option of custom false lashes and a touch-up kit for the bride.
How should I prepare my hair and skin?
Please arrive to your appointment with clean spf & makeup free skin. And clean dry hair, washed the day of or the night before if you don’t have time to completely dry it before your appointment. For more detailed skin prep information please click here.
Do I need to bring my own makeup? Can you work with different skin tones?
No I have everything needed in my extensive professional kit to cater to every shade of skin and have worked on all skin types in my 17+ makeup career.
What space do you need on the wedding morning?
I come with a full setup, however access to a powerpoint and good bench space (ideally near natural light) will be perfect.
